Friday, October 2: First day that mail ballots may be mailed to registered voters (except UOCAVA voters). Start to look for your ballot in the mail!

Friday, October 9:

• First day that drop boxes must begin to accept hand-delivered mail ballots from voters. Drop boxes will stay open for ballots through November 3rd at 7PM.

• The final deadline for county clerks to send mail ballots to each active eligible elector.

Monday, October 19:

• In person early voting begins! Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPCs) will be open from 10/19 continuing through Election Day, except Sundays and the first Saturday of this period.

Tuesday, October 20: This is the last day we recommend returning your mail ballot through USPS.

Monday, October 26: Last day to submit a voter registration application and still receive a ballot in the mail for the 2026 General Election. (Through the 8th day before an election). If you register online on 10/26, you will need to fill out your ballot and deliver it to a drop box or VSPC in person for it to count (cannot return it via USPS).

Tuesday, October 27-November 3: If the county clerk receives a voter registration application 7 days or less before the 2026 General Election, the clerk must process the application and inform the applicant that they will not receive a mail ballot. To receive a ballot, the applicant must visit a VSPC.

Tuesday, November 3: Election Day!

• All voting locations are open, and all ballots must be received by clerks’ offices by 7:00pm.

• You may register and vote in person on election day.
